Block Party

Crafts Council touring exhibition showcasing work by artists that apply the aesthetics and techniques of pattern cutting to their practice in innovative and unexpected ways, curated by Lucy Orta. We applied the techniques to the design, with folded white metal labelling and signage used to evoke the aesthetic and simplicity of the first stage of any pattern cutting, paper. The publication furthered this association with very thin paper stock and pencil grey type, and a layout informed by the way patterns are tiled to fit onto sheets.
