Metropolitan Works – Discovery

An exhibition of digitally manufactured work to celebrate the launch of Metropolitan Works, London’s first Creative Industries Centre. Nine artists and designers, including Antony Gormley,Michael Marriott and Committee, were commissioned to produce a piece using their facilities. Dark grey walls and low level light was used with direct spotlighting to let the primarily white objects stand out. To further showcase the centre’s machinery, the hanging window signage was rapid prototyped and captions were laser etched onto the oak topped plinths.
